Arquitectura #390

Inclusión
Javier García-Germán and Alejandro Valdivieso

This issue reflects on how the inhabitants of buildings are contributing to rethinking architecture. Its contents move between two extremes. On one side, the anthropocentric perspective, in which the human being—with their physical, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs—stands at the center of the architect’s attention. On the other, the posthumanist stance, which questions the centrality of the human being and proposes a broader, more inclusive vision in which humans form part of a complex network of relationships between living beings, materials, environments, and technologies. Between these two extremes—and through different combinations—we can situate the projects and reflections included in this issue.
