The architectural practice 70°N arkitektur in Tromsø, Northern Norway, developed experimental and critical approaches to architecture and planning – in an Arctic context, but also concerning general perspectives on urban development in the light of severe global changes. The working methods, investigations and proposals are centered on notions of openness and planning for an unknown future, encompassing issues of multiplicity and indeterminacy – and are tested and processed through competitions, teaching, academic work and architectural practice.
