Authors/borja ferrater
Between 1994-1997 he conducted studies in biology at Temple University (Philadelphia, PA, USA) and at the University of Navarra (Spain). He is a licensed architect, graduating with Thesis Cum Laude in September 2005 from the International University of Catalonia (UIC).
In January 2010, he got his Masters degree in Biodigital Architecture. He obtained his doctorate in April 2017 under the title “Use of complex Geometric Systems in Architectural Practice”.
He is author of the book “Synchronizing Geometry”, which has been exhibited at the Crown Hall of the IIT (Illinois Institute of Technology), Bezalel School of Arts, Jerusalem, Instituto Cervantes in Tel Aviv, Fine Arts Museum in Bilbao, At the Istanbul Institute of Architects and different art galleries in Madrid and Barcelona.
Founding Partner Architect of OAB (Office of Architecture in Barcelona) together with Xavier Marti, Carlos & Lucia Ferrater in January 2006. He is a FAD (Spain’s national award) prize winner in the category of “ephemeral architecture” together with Carlos Ferrater for the exhibition in Madrid: “M.C. Escher El arte de lo imposible”.
