Lo que dicen las piedras es una meditación poética y filosófica sobre la naturaleza profunda y simbólica de las piedras. A partir de la idea de la “piedra partida” —dos mitades que alguna vez fueron una sola roca primigenia—, el libro propone una conversación eterna entre fragmentos minerales que se buscan, se recuerdan y se reconocen. Desde el granito hasta el ópalo, desde petroglifos antiguos hasta catedrales, las piedras son presentadas como símbolos vivientes de una unidad ancestral, testigos silentes del mundo y depositarias de una memoria profunda. Nu Díaz, en un ejercicio de escucha radical, se convierte en piedra para poder oír su lenguaje secreto: las pielabras. El libro es, así, un homenaje a la materia terrestre, a su imán invisible que nos conecta con la gravedad, el fuego y el cosmos, y a nuestra eterna necesidad humana de interrogar el mundo que habitamos, piedra a piedra.

Lo que dicen las piedras, is a poetic and philosophical meditation on the deep, symbolic nature of stones. Starting from the idea of the “split stone” —two halves that were once a single primordial rock— the book unfolds as an eternal conversation between mineral fragments that seek, remember, and recognize each other. From granite to opal, from ancient petroglyphs to cathedrals, stones are portrayed as living symbols of ancestral unity, silent witnesses of the world, and keepers of deep memory. In a radical act of listening, Nu Díaz becomes stone himself in order to hear their secret language: the pielabras (a blend of “piedra” [stone] and “palabras” [words]). The book is thus a tribute to earthly matter, to the invisible pull that connects us to gravity, fire, and the cosmos, and to our eternal human need to question the world we inhabit—stone by stone.
