Sam Chermayeff is an architect and cofounder of the office June 14 Meyer-Grohbrügge & Chermayeff. He worked for SANAA in Tokyo for more than five years, leading projects such as the Serpentine Pavilion and the curation of the Venice Biennale. He has taught at the Dessau Institute of Architecture, Columbia University and currently teaches at Cornell University among other institutions. Both June 14 and his private office are engaging in a wide range of projects including furniture and multiunit housing projects. Further, his practice is concerned with the public and people, attempting to shape and connect with current discourse.
