Josep Miàs, a graduate of the Barcelona School of Architecture in 1992, is distinguished by a career marked by innovation and experimentation in architecture. Working as an associate architect with Enric Miralles until 2000, he contributed to significant projects such as the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh and the Santa Caterina Market in Barcelona. Following this period, Miàs founded his own studio, standing out for unpredictable proposals that merge formal research, technology, and sustainability, like the Fontanals Golf Club and the transformation of the Historic Centre of Banyoles.

Internationally recognized, Miàs has received several awards, including the International Stone Architecture Award and the Archdaily Best Building of the Year. His work has been exhibited in prestigious international forums, and the Pompidou Centre has acquired part of his work for its permanent collection. Additionally, Miàs shares his knowledge as a professor and lecturer at renowned institutions worldwide, consolidating his influence in the field of contemporary architecture.
