Matyas Gutai graduated at the University of Tokyo and Technical University of Budapest. He finished his PhD studies in University of Tokyo. His research was focusing on water structures and sustainable design. After his research in water building systems, he patented his water panel structure and built the first Water House experimental building. Parallel to his research, he worked at architecture offices in Japan, Portugal and Hungary, before he opened his own practice: Allwater Ltd. Matyas Gutai is currently Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Kengo Kuma Laboratory in the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Architecture.
